作家おかもとあおのアートと雑貨。 art shop KURUTONでは原画とグッズの販売をしています。 京都市在住。 関西の美術系大学を卒業後、文具メーカーにてキャラクターデザインを担当。 数年間の勤務ののち、立体的な表現を追求するため退社。 子どもの頃から親しみのある毛糸素材を用い、編みぐるみ作家として活動。イベント出店からスタートした作家活動は、やがてオリジナルの編み図を複数の出版社に提供するなどの実績を残す。 2003年には愛犬たちとドッググッズショップをオープン。ショップ運営と同じくして自身の創作の原点でもある絵画に向き合い、「あおワールド」と評されるメルヘンの世界を描き続けている。 artist AO OKAMOTO Lives in Kyoto. After graduating from art university, she was in charge of character design at a stationery maker. After working for several years, she left the company to pursue three-dimensional expression. Using the thread material that she has been accustomed to since she was a child, she is active as an amigurumi artist. The artist's activities, which began with stalls, eventually left a track record of providing original knitting paintings to multiple publishers. In 2003, she opened a dog supplies store with her dog. And she continues to draw the world of fairy tales called "Ao World", which is the origin of her own creation.
